- Free Spirit Pike Tamer Boat Pike Rod
There are two 10ft boat versions: a standard rod with a test of 2½lb, good for the majority of boat piking and an S.U. for heavy boat work such as on the Thurne where heavy flows and tidal pulls are common. Both feature sensitive tips for bottom bouncing and power in the middle to butt to help subdue big fish. They can also be put to good use casting big spoons and plugs.
Both these models have full duplon handles and 30mm ring sets.
These rods are built on full ground 36t carbon blanks. The pattern has been specially designed for extra strength to combat the hard knocks these rods will get in and out of boats.
